Gaster Blaster Caster[edit]

Gaster Blaster Casters are very rare and almost always appear as odd skeletons named after some type of font. They may be physically weak, but make them angry and you'll be having a bad time.

Class Features[edit]

A Gaster Blaster Caster's innate magic and speed allow them to move and battle with ease. All of the following are class features of the Gaster Blaster Caster.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Gaster Blaster Casters are proficient with simple weapons, but not with any armor or shields.

Spells: A Gaster Blaster Caster casts arcane spells which are drawn from the sorcerer/wizard spell list. A wizard must choose and prepare their spells ahead of time (see below).

To learn, prepare, or cast a spell, the Gaster Blaster Caster must have an Intelligence score equal to at least 10 + the spell level. The Difficulty Class for a saving throw against a Gaster Blaster Caster's spell is 10 + the spell level + the Gaster Blaster Caster's Intelligence modifier.

Like other spellcasters, a Gaster Blaster Caster can cast only a certain number of spells of each spell level per day. Their base daily spell allotment is given on Table: The Gaster Blaster Caster. In addition, they receives bonus spells per day if she has a high Intelligence score.

Unlike a bard or sorcerer, a Gaster Blaster Caster may know any number of spells. They must choose and prepare their spells ahead of time.

Bone Fighting: At level 1, the Gaster Blaster Caster is able to manifest bones made of magic to attack. They function as a ranged weapon that deal 1d8 bludgeoning damage and have a range of 30ft with a critical range of 19-20 x3. The Gaster Blaster Caster can use their Dexterity for attack roles and damage instead of Strength. Every 4 levels, the bones gain a +1 enchantment bonus.

Blur (Ex): Staring at level 1, due to the Gaster Blaster Caster's impeccable sense of danger and quick wit, they can dodge many attacks that may have hit them as if under the effects of the SRD:Blur spell. The chance to dodge starts at 5% and increases by another 5% every odd level. This effect always activates unless the Gaster Blaster Caster is helpless or they chose to deactivate it with a free-action.

Quick Wit: At level 1 Gaster Blaster Casters can think on their feet which allows them to quickly move around the battlefield and dodge telegraphed attacks. While they are not wearing armor, they can add their Intelligence modifier to their AC as an insight bonus as well as having 10ft of extra movement.

Special Attack (Sp): Starting at level 2, A Gaster Blaster Caster can send out a special attack, amplifying the power of their bone fighting. By spending a move action and a spell slot of at least 1st level, the damage of their next attack is increasing by 2d8 force damage plus an additional 1d8 for every level above 1st used. This can be part of a full attack, but only the first attack to hit gets the bonus damage.

Evasion (Ex): At 4nd level and higher, a Gaster Blaster Caster can avoid even magical and unusual attacks with great agility. If they makes a successful Reflex saving throw against an attack that normally deals half damage on a successful save, they instead takes no damage. Evasion can be used only if the Gaster Blaster Caster is wearing light armor or no armor. A helpless Gaster Blaster Caster does not gain the benefit of evasion.

Shortcut (Sp): Starting at level 6, the Gaster Blaster Caster can create a "Shortcut" to any location they have been as if with the spell SRD:Teleport. They can use this ability once per day, and an additional use at levels 11 and 16.

Bone Mastery: At level 8, the Gaster Blaster Caster can now better control his magic to form stronger, faster bones. His ranged attacks now deal 2d8 damage and have a range of 60ft.

Improved Evasion (Ex): Starting at 9th level, this ability works like evasion, except that while the Gaster Blaster Caster still takes no damage on a successful Reflex saving throw against attacks henceforth they henceforth takes only half damage on a failed save. A helpless Gaster Blaster Caster does not gain the benefit of improved evasion.

Blue Attack (Sp): Starting at level 10, the Gaster Blaster Caster can use their magic to turn the soul of their enemy "blue" giving the caster control over their body to a certain extent similar to the telekinesis spell. This ability can be used up to their Intelligence modifier times per day.

Tempered Intelligence (Ex): Starting at 12th level, this ability allows the Gaster Blaster Caster to substitute their Int mod for their Wis mod for the use of will saves.

Perfect Evasion (Ex): Starting at 14th level, this ability works like improved evasion, but also applies to his will saves as well, negating all damage on damage on a successful save, and taking half on a failed one.

Perfect Bones: At level 15, the Gaster Blaster Caster has complete control over their magic. Their ranged attacks now deal 3d8 damage and allows them to add 1 1/2 times their Dexterity mod to attack and damage.

Gaster Blaster Master (Ex): At level 20, the Gaster Blaster Caster has mastered both magic and learned how to infuse themselves with it to become even stronger. This grants them the ability to add their Intelligence modifier to their attack and damage rolls as well as unlock their ultimate weapon, the Gaster Blaster. This skull shaped laser cannon fires a beam of energy in a 10ft by 60ft line, dealing 10d8+Int mod force damage and can be cast up to their Int mod/3 times a round(Round down, minimum 1). Usable 1/2 Int mod/day
