To use a garotte, go behind a target. Make a melee attack, as normal. If successful, you wrap the garotte around the enemy's neck. A DC 15 Strength or Dexterity check collapses the target's windpipe, nauseaing them for 2 rounds. If you succeed on a grapple check against that creature, the creature is unconcious for 2 rounds, plus however long you grapple them. Alternatively, you can break off the garotte. This does not allow you to make a grapple, but deals 1d6 damage/round for 5 rounds after.
