This appears to be a large, cast-iron frying pan. It actually provides a +1 bonus to hit and damage, and anyone targeted by it is affected as though by a flesh to stone spell cast by a 7th level wizard with the exception that anything that fails their save is turned into a large hard-boiled egg.
