From D&D Wiki
Form Mastery [General]
Character has varying degrees of control over their transformation abilities.
Prerequisite: None
Benefit: At 10% Mastery, the character can attempt transformation at 25% health or lower with a successful roll of a d20 (15 or higher), retrying next turn if failed. At 25% Mastery, they can attempt transformation at 50% health or lower with a successful roll of a d20 (10 or higher). Higher mastery levels grant more control and integration with other abilities.
Drawback: Lower mastery levels mean less reliable transformations, requiring successful rolls and limitations on health percentages.
Normal: Without this trait, transformations are less controllable and more reliant on external factors.
Special: DM determines the pace of mastery progression, and characters actively using transformations progress faster.
Roleplaying Ideas: The character grapples with gaining control over their transformations, experiencing varying degrees of success in utilizing this unique power.
