Follower of Vanguard (3.5e Feat)
From D&D Wiki
Follower of Vanguard [General, Roleplaying]
Often mistaken for a being of knowledge and scholastic interest, perhaps due to his commonly assumed form as a tome, Vanguard's place in Tirr is that of the Oathkeeper. Within his pages, all manner of promises, swears, agreements, and curses are recorded. Furthermore, the god puts considerable effort into making sure these are upheld, as well. Perhaps the most famous and significant of the records within his pages is the Oath of the Pantheon.
While those who serve Vanguard cannot hope to acquire or replicate his ability to record all items of interest in existence, they can seek to enforce them, and strive to uphold them. Truly devoted followers who have spent their lives dedicated to this principle ultimately end up with the ability to detect the disturbances in body language and attitude that would indicate lying. They are also often quite silver-tongued, when they must confront others about the importance of keeping ones' oaths.
