Follower of Mara (3.5e Feat)
From D&D Wiki
Follower of Mara [General, Roleplaying]
While the Great Mother is dedicated to the ideals of universal compassion, she is hardly the only deity who espouses the importance of love and compassion. Some deities, such as Mara, derive value from other aspects of love. In this case, Mara's teachings often call for national pride, brotherly love, and familial bonds. Because of this, she is often called the Hearth-Goddess, and is often referred to as a Goddess of Nations and Communities.
The truly devout of Mara often dedicate themselves to their communities, investing and immersing themselves in the culture and history of their surroundings and the people who live there. From the greatest spires of royalty, to the lowliest hamlet, these individuals are often found to be the pillars of their respective communities, and are likely considered in high esteem and regard by the people with whom they are associated. They are often well-versed in the local history and customs of their communities, and take pride in being able to detail the lineage of each and every person they meet.
