Float allows you to cause an object to float above surfaces at one foot hieght. The object must be unattended or possessed by a willing creature. This allows someone to push or pull the object as if it was weightless at 10 feet per round. This spell can be used on a dead body without any hinderances. The spell can also be used on an unconcious creature, but should the creature wake up the spell ends immediately. (Nefarious individuals have used this to float a sleeping creature over a chasm and then wake them up.) DM's are obliged to apply saving throws or spell resistance as needed.
This is one of the many spells created by Awd the Goblin from the world of Earthe'. Being that he was not very strong he invented this spell to carry his sack of spoons around.
