A player may order a custom made flak jacket with the following additional features if the armor doesn't already come with the features originally:
- Scroll Pouches (+1 gp for each pouch up to maximum of 6 pouch): Scroll Pouches provides a convenient location to store a ninja's scrolls, which can be easily opened and the scroll drawn out quickly efficiently during battle. Removing a scroll from a scroll pouch is considered to be a free action. Without scroll pouches, a ninja would be forced to store his scrolls in his pack where it can inconveniently get misplaced and take some time to retrieve, up to a minute and a successful search check in the worse case scenario (DC 5+1 for each additional item that is in the pack and +5 for every similar looking scroll the ninja has in the pouch- +10 instead if the scroll he is looking for and all similar looking scrolls are not labelled properly, etc, etc.) The search check succeeds instantly if the ninja unpacks his whole bag, taking 1d4 minutes until he finds the scroll and as much time to repack his bag if he does. In short, scroll pouches are a necessary feature for any ninja that is carrying summoning scrolls.
- Shoulder Protection (+1 sp for sizes fine to tiny; +1 gp for sizes small and medium; +5 gp/size category above medium): Shoulder protection provides an additional +1 armor bonus to the wearer's AC.
- Neck Protection (+1 sp for sizes fine to tiny; +1 gp for sizes small and medium; +5 gp/size category above medium): Neck Protection provides an additional +1 armor bonus to the wearer's AC.
