Fighting Style: Bane (5e Class Feature)
From D&D Wiki
Fighting Style: Bane[edit]
This is an optional fighting style for fighters, paladins and rangers.
When you select this fighting style, choose a type of creature this fighting style is effective against. The type of creature can be of an extremely broad category (any of the 14 creature categories: aberrations, beasts, celestials, constructs, dragons, elementals, fiends, fey, giants, humanoids, oozes, monstrosities, plants, or undead; or creatures that possess a broad similar trait like spellcasters) or it can be more specific (humans, goblins, gnolls, devils, demons, vampires, shapechangers, wizards, bards, blue dragons, etc.).
If you choose a broad type of creature, you have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made against those creatures, as well as a +1 bonus to your armor class and saving throws made against the attacks and abilities of those creatures. If you choose a more specific type of creature, the benefits increase to a +2, reflecting your narrower but stronger focus.
Unlike other fighting styles, you can select and benefit from this fighting style more than once. You must choose a different type of creature each time. If the same creature is applicable to multiple instances of this fighting style, count only the strongest bonus.
