False Vampire (5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
False Vampire[edit]
Physical Description[edit]
False Vampires look identical to the race they originate as, though often develop certain recognizable features such as lighter skin and more pronounced fangs.
History[edit]
Oft mistaken for actual vampires, False Vampires are caused by a magical disease that occurs when an individual is surrounded by a copious amount of death. Be they a sole survivor of a catastrophe or just extremely unlucky, death has followed or still follows in their wake.
Society[edit]
False Vampires aren't really considered a society, rather a collection of unrelated cursed individuals.
False Vampire Names[edit]
False Vampires share the same naming conventions as the races they used to be.
False Vampire Traits[edit]
When you choose to be a false vampire, they are counted as a second subrace.

Age. Your lifespan greatly increases, no longer aging past your prime.
Alignment. False Vampires can be of any alignment, though they typically end up neutral or evil as the circumstances to create them are frequently traumatic.
Size. You are the same size as your original race.
Speed. Your base walking speed is the same as your original race.
Deathly Resilience. Your hit point maximum increases by 1, and it increases by 1 every time you gain a level.
Sanguine Thirst. Bloodshed has become a central pillar of your life. Food is only half as satisfying to you, and you find most food generally repulsive. You can now sustain yourself by drinking blood.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write the languages granted by your original race.
