Eerie Resemblance. The false death tyrant resembles a death tyrant. A creature that can see the false death tyrant can discern its true nature with a successful DC 15 Intelligence (Arcana) check.

Hollow. The false death tyrant deals an additional 7 (2d6) bludgeoning damage with it's next bite attack after it takes thunder damage.

Frostflame Frenzy. The false death tyrant can lose 5 (1d10) hit points when making an attack to gain a +10 bonus to the attack roll.

ACTIONS

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d12 + 3) bludgeoning damage plus 6 (1d12) cold damage.

Frosty Scream (1/Day). The false death tyrant screams, creating an icy thunder in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or take 19 (3d12) cold damage and 7 (2d6) thunder damage.

Frostflame Blitz. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 32 (5d12) cold damage. Hit or Miss: The false death tyrant's hit points are reduced by an amount equal to half of its hit point maximum (23).

REACTIONS

Freezing Glare. When a creature moves out of the false death tyrant's reach it can glare, reducing the creature's movement speed to 0 feet until the end of its turn.

The false death tyrant is the disembodied skull of a cyclops given undeath by powerful giant magics that have allegedly been lost to time. They were used mostly by frost giants to combat dragons in the days of yore when troops were lacking.
False death tyrants are often used as agents to charge headlong into foes, detonating in icy fury. Due to their uncanny resemblance to death tyrants, they are often mistaken for them, causing adventurers to metaphorically (and sometimes literally) shit themselves when they believe themselves to be fighting a death tyrant.

Undead Nature. A false death tyrant doesn't require air, food, drink, or sleep.
