- To have no fear of death.
- To explore the hidden world of your past.
- To be a member of a race that favors the Bard, Paladin, Avenger, Druid, or Warlock classes.
Physical Qualities[edit]
Fallen are often not recognized as they were in their previous lives, appearing taller, handsomer, and more charismatic than they were before. However, the only thing changed for the worse is their eyes, which have become lifeless and dark. About 2/3 of Fallen are incarnated with a small pair of wings on their back, usually small enough not to poke out of armor or clothing, and useless in a gravity oriented life.
Playing a Fallen[edit]
Fallen are often drawn to adventure or have an overall good attitude with others, not because of their angelic status, but because of their natural charisma. The only unpopular or unwanted Fallen are ones who have forsaken their previous Gods and become evil, serving most often the Diety polar opposite of their previous Diety. They used to be almost non-existent, but are becoming more and more active in common society. Many Fallen seek out ways to return home, but they can take their time. They have all the time in the world...
Fallen Characteristics: The Fallen excel at most any class that uses Divine energy, and some in which you use arcane, but they are most noted for their ability to heal their friends or curse their enemies in the name of their Gods. This natural ability leads most to become a class where you are acting in the name of a higher being. They like to be mean to the undeserving in all cases, and they will stick by their ideals to the bitter end.
Names: It is not often that a Fallen will forget his/her name, but some make up new names for themselves or have recieved names or titles by their Gods for good deeds in their name, which they prefer to use.
Male Names: Michael, Peter, Adam, Skybreaker, Holygouge, etc.
Female Names: Jezebel, Eve, Cleopatra, Harmony, Hiddengrove, etc.
Fallen Adventurers[edit]
Three sample Fallen adventurers are described below.
Michael is a Fallen Avenger who remembers all to well how the demon Orcus attacked his Mistress, the Raven Queen, with a huge army of his foul undead. He was transported into the material plane during the battle and has no idea of what happened to his Goddess, and only knows that the response to his prayers are getting fainter all the time. Now he seeks to slay all undead he can, before he finds a way to get back home and destroy the Demon Prince of the Undead for daring to attack his Queen.
Jezebel is a Fallen Warlock. She has no idea who she is or how she got here, but she does know that whoever was her previous God was, she follows no more. She has become a Warlock in the hopes that the more darker arcane energies might inspire her to remember her past, and she has gotten a few glimpses here and there as she progresses in her adventures. She still can't remember most things, but she really hopes that being a Warlock will really tick off her previous master before she gets back home.
Peter is a Fallen Paladin. He has been sent to this world by Moradin on an extremely urgent mission. However, Peter is having trouble remembering it. He is frantically ridding the world of it's greatest ailments with a timer slowly ticking down in his head, as he attempts to recall what the cataclysmic event he was sent here to stop was. Until then, he has resigned himself to a life on the edge, fearing that his next breath may be his last.
