Fall of Tethys[edit]

In Fall of Tethys, a player's main goal is to eliminate Tethys, the son of Heironeous, who has imprisoned him for abandoning his mother. Tethys is located in the center of the world, but spreads his power throughout the world of Sznathian as though each evil creature were a part of him.

Also, one of the players is pronounced "cursed". Every city they enter will be burned to the ground in one way or another. For example, one of the cities, Exodis, is floating high above the rest of the world, maybe 3 miles high. All of a sudden, though, the city begins to shake and fall towards the ground.

This is how the story begins:

Each player wakes up in separate prison cells, and have no remembrance of what happened to get them there, due to amnesia. They hear not-so-faint screaming, burning, battle cries, and every other sound that comes with a slaughter. A guard sprints towards a cell (likely to the leader of the party) and begs them to fight. He then leads them out, giving them very crude weapons and minimal armor, and upon entering the outside world, several gnolls dash towards them. This continually happens, and in increasing numbers, until the players are run out of town. They are then left alone, outside the burning port, known as Goldshire.

The players are then, more or less, forced to go to Copper, about 80 miles southwest of Goldshire. Upon reaching Copper (with several encounters along the way) They see that it is likely the military export of the world.
