Eye of the Storm[edit]

Fighter Subclass

The Eye of the Storm is a Fighter subclass that harnesses the raw power of lightning and tempests to dominate the battlefield. These warriors are a force of nature, channeling the fury of storms to strike with precision and control the flow of combat. Their abilities focus on manipulating lightning and wind, allowing them to unleash devastating attacks while keeping enemies off balance.

Storm's Embrace

Upon choosing this archetype at 3rd level, you regain hitpoints when hit by lightning damage or thunder damage equal to the damage dealt, and your attacks become infused with the power of the storm. When you hit with a weapon attack, you can choose to deal additional lightning damage equal to a number of d6 dice equal to your proficiency. The damage dice increases to d8, d10, d12 at levels 8, 13, 18 respectively.

Herald of the Storm

At 3rd level, you gain the ability to summon a 30-foot-radius sphere of clouds centered on a point within 15 feet of you. You can use a bonus action to move the cloud 15 feet in any direction, as long as you are within the cloud. Leaving the cloud's perimeter or getting incapacitated disperses it. You gain the following benefits while in the cloud:

  • The area the cloud occupies is heavily obscured to those outside of its perimeter
  • Transform into a lightning bolt and teleport to any point space inside of the cloud
  • Hitting an enemy with a weapon attack will create a lightning chain. Enemies within a 5ft radius will also receive damage from the storm's embrace feature. The lightning will continuously chain to nearby targets until it has nothing to chain on.
  • You ignore resistance to lightning or thunder damage.

You may use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. The number will reset every short/long rest.

Storm Step

By 7th level, you gain the ability to move like lightning itself. As a bonus action, you can teleport up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see, leaving a trail of static energy. Creatures within 5 feet of where you appear must make a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your strength modifier) or be stunned until the end of their next turn. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all expended uses when you finish a short/long rest.

Eye of the Storm

At 15th Level, the Herald of the Storm feature is amplified. you become the center of a raging storm. As a bonus action, you can call upon the full power of the tempest, creating a 30-foot radius storm centered on you. The storm lasts for 1 minute and moves with you. While the storm is active, you gain the benefits of the storm herald feature and the following:

  • Lightning bolts strike down at the start of each of your turns. Choose up to three creatures within the storm; each must make a Dexterity saving throw or take 4d6 lightning damage (half on a successful save).
  • You gain immunity to lightning and thunder damage.
  • Ranged weapon attacks against you have disadvantage.
Stormlord

At 18th Level, You become of a lord of the storms. As an action you can become an avatar of the storm. You gain the following benefits:

  • You become hasted.
