Elemental Path (5e Subclass)
From D&D Wiki
The Elementalist
this class was my take on wizard who focuses on a singular element and hopefully made viable without seeming too powerful. i took inspiration from several subclasses and classes, the Storm Sorcerer, the scribe wizard, and the Elemancer( https://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Elemancer_(5e_Subclass)).
Wizard Subclass
choosing a school isn't the path chosen by some wizards. Sometimes, they choose to align themselves with one of the elements, trying to master one of them in their quest to become stronger. Wizards that take this path receive the title of Elemantalist. It's not considered to be a school by most wizards due to the restrictions of channeling and focusing in very specific element. it is often looked down upon by most wizards because it limits the growth of mastery of magic. but wizards who focus on Elements seem to overcome their disadvantages that lack of variety seem to entail. (Notes the homebrew Elemancy was the inspiration of this subclass just went in different way
- Elemetal Path
At Lv 2 the dedication of elements is an important choice first the Elementalist . pick one following paths and gain its abilities. let that element be your guide as you experience world with ether fire, cold, Acid or lightening.
Pyromancer - You aim to master the Fire proprieties of magic and your elemental damage is Fire, you gain proficiency in speaking and writing Ignan
Cryomancer - You aim to master the Cold proprieties of magic and your elemental damage is Cold , you gain proficiency in speaking and writing Aquan
Geomancer - You aim to master the Natural proprieties of magic and your elemental damage is Acid, you gain proficiency in speaking and writing Terran
Aeromancer - You aim to master the Lightning proprieties of Magic and your elemental damage is Lightning and Thunder, you gain proficiency in speaking and writing Auran
- Elemental Favor
starting at lv2 your natural favor for your path leads you wanting experiment with spells. when you cast a wizard spell with a Lv1 or higher spell slot, you can replace its damage type with a type of your elemental damage, you can only do this a number times equal to your Intelligence Modifier per long rest.
- Elemental Affinity
Starting at 6th level, when you cast a spell that deals solely the damage type associated with your Elemental Path, add can your Intelligence modifier to one damage roll of that spell.
- Elemental Resistance
through time and practice focusing on your elemental studies you enrich your defenses for that element. Starting at 6th level you gain resistance to your elemental path.
- Irresistible Element
Starting at level 10, you are able to infuse your elemental spells with your own touch, strengthening its hold on the realm and its creatures. Any creature that is Resistant to your elemental damage is no longer resistant to your spells, and if they are Immune, they are Resistant Instead.
- Elemental Companion
At the 14th level you gain ability to perform a Special summoning ritual. This Ritual it takes hour to preform can be done on short rest but cannot use other features like Arcane recovery or using hit dice to recover health while preforming this ritual, and only once per day. This ritual works like the conjure elemental spell with few exceptions. http://dnd5e.wikidot.com/spell:conjure-elemental
1. It last till it is destroyed, or till you use this feature again
2 it doesn't require concentration and regards you and your party as allies
3. It gains hp equal to its con mod times your wizard level, it also uses your proficiency bonus instead of its original
4. while you have an elemental companion you cannot cast a concentration spell that also summons 1 or more creatures such as summon elemental or conjure elemental spell. or the elemental companion will vanish, and vice versa.
The elemental used is based on your path.
