Dwarf Subrace[edit]

The origin of the Elemental Born dwarves is considered to be a mystery. Was their power given to them by the gods or were they cursed with these powers? What is known about there origin, is that they are closely related to elemental plains of earth, fire, water and air. Elemental Born dwarves typically live in locations that represent their element. Since their forms are affected by their elements, they have personality's that match their elements as follows: fire being cocky and quick to anger, earth being stoic and slow, air being fast, quick-thinking, and excitable, and water being wise and free. While most Elemental Born dwarves follow these examples, some do break the common rule of these traits.

Fire Dwarf[edit]

Fire courses through you! You have control over the element of fire thanks to your unique blood line.

Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma score increases by 1.
Fire Soul. You are resistant to fire damage.
Flame from Within. You know the fire bolt cantrip. Once you reach 3rd level, you can cast the burning hands spell once with this trait as a 1st-level spell, and you regain the ability to cast it this way when you finish a long rest. Constitution is your spellcasting ability for these spells.

Earth Dwarf[edit]

Earth hardens your soul! You have control over the element of earth thanks to your unique blood line.

Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 1.
Earth Soul. You know the mold earth[1] cantrip. Once you reach 3rd level, you can cast the earth tremor [2] spell once with this trait as a 1st-level spell, and you regain the ability to cast it this way when you finish a long rest. Constitution is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
Earth from Below. You have a burrowing speed of 15 feet.

Water Dwarf[edit]

Water flows through you! You have control over the element of water thanks to your unique blood line.

Ability Score Increase. Your Wisdom score increases by 1.
Water Soul. You can breathe in water and air and you have a swimming speed of 20 feet.
Slippery Skin. You can use your action to end a grapple.

Air Dwarf[edit]

Air becomes you! You have control over the element of air thanks to your unique blood line.

Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 1.
Air Soul. When you are falling, you are always considered under the effects of the feather fall spell.
Light Build. Your base walking speed increases to 30 feet.
