Eldritch Warrior[edit]

Fighter Archetype

Eldritch warriors are fighters who research ancient arcane knowledge and occult magic seeking for power. They are arcane dilettantes, who use magic to complement their fighting abilities. Magic for them is just another tool in their arsenal, so they have a lessened focus on magic, using only as a support to their mundane skills.

Some eldritch warriors are adventurers that, after some encounters with the occult, gained some experience and knowledge about those forces. Others purposefully sought out the mystical forces searching for either power or just to satisfy their curious minds.

Mystical Boon

Starting at 3rd level, your research of eldritch forces have bestowed upon you a gift, a mystical boon. You can choose one of the Pact Boons from the Warlock class.

Eldritch Invocations

Also at 3rd level, in your study of occult lore, you have unearthed eldritch invocations, fragments of forbidden knowledge that imbue you with an abiding magical ability.

At 3rd level, you gain two Eldritch Invocations of your choice from the warlock list. Your invocation options are detailed at the end of the class description. When you gain certain fighter levels, you gain additional invocations of your choice, gaining one additional at 7th, 10th, 15th and 18th levels.

You are considered a Warlock with a level equal to your fighter level for the purposes of choosing invocations.

Additionally, when you gain a level in this class, you can choose one of the invocations you know and replace it with another invocation that you could learn at that level.

Arcane Fountain

Starting at 3rd level, you learn how to draw arcane power from your inner reserves, converting your own power into arcane energy.

You can spend your Fighter hit die and your features and convert into spell slots, that can be used for your invocations that require warlock spell slots.

Fighter Hit Die. You can spend a number of hit dice equal to the level of the spell slot (up to a maximum equal to your proficiency bonus) to create a spell slot of that level.
Second Wind. You can spend a use of your Second Wind as a bonus action to create a spell slot with a level equal to your proficiency bonus - 1.
Action Surge. You can spend a use of your Action Surge as an action to create a spell slot with a level equal to your proficiency bonus - 1.

A spell slot created using this feature is available until you finish a short rest. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or a long rest.

Arcane Knowledge

Starting at 7th level, you gain proficiency in Arcana, and add twice your proficiency bonus in Arcana checks if you are already proficient

In addition, you can choose to gain proficiency in your choice between Intelligence or Charisma saving throws.

Mind Resilience

When you reach the 10th level, you gain proficiency in Wisdom saving throws. Alternatively, you can choose one of the saving throw proficiencies you haven't chosen on your Arcane Knowledge feature instead.

Eldritch Versatility

At 15th level, your knowledge of the arcane powers can be adapted to any situation. When you finish a long rest, you can replace any of your Eldritch Invocations with a different one . You must still meet the prerequisite of an eldritch invocation in order to benefit from it.

Mystic Arcanum

At 18th level, your research led you to uncover a magical secret called an arcanum. Choose one 6th-level spell from the warlock spell list as this arcanum.

You can cast your arcanum spell once without expending a spell slot. You must finish a long rest before you can do so again.
