Eldritch Armor (Invocation, Variant) (5e Class Feature)
From D&D Wiki
This is a variation of the 'Eldritch Armor' invocation available in Unearthed Arcana 62 - Class Feature Variants. The goal for this is to provide an interesting new option for players to take up that has a number of potentially fun fluff/flavorful applications, while not being particularly overpowered.
Eldritch Armor[edit]
Requires Pact of the Blade feature.
In addition to the normal effect of your Pact of the Blade ability, you gain the ability to also select one piece/suit of armor that is both in your current possession (you cannot choose a set of armor on display in a shop, etc.) and of a type that you possess proficiency in, and undergo an hour long ritual to transform it into a set of Pact Armor. Once the ritual is complete, the armor joins your Pact Weapon in its extra dimensional space. If you later choose to undergo the ritual with a different set of armor, your previous Pact Armor materializes into an empty space within 5 ft of you.
You may then call this Pact Armor into existence and immediately don it in the same action with which call your Pact Weapon into your hand. Your Pact Armor resembles the original armor, but you may freely change its coloring and aesthetics each time you summon the armor. If your Pact Weapon is dismissed, this armor is dismissed as well. Your Pact Armor retains the Armor Class and any magical bonuses of the original armor used to create the bond.
