False Appearance. While the el maques remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from normal jewelry.

El maques are constructs that look like a fire beetle or other bugs. Its back has glued fake jewelry to increase its worth. Only a dumb person would believe that it is made of real jewelry. They are often bought and sold as living, moving cheap jewelry. El maques spend most of their time seeking and being close to a heartbeat. As such, they are often seen crawling on people's shirts.
It is rumored that el maques are powered by the souls of dead loved ones. The dead wishes to see their loved ones and are willing to enter the physical body of an el maques. At the DM's option, a creature that casts the find familiar spell can conjure an el maques instead of one of the other options.
