Ears of the God (3.5e Feat)
From D&D Wiki
Ears of the God [Epic]
You improve your ability to listen to those who speak your name in the same way as a god.
Benefit: As Ears of the Mage, now you designate up to 3 specific names or alternate ways you might be known that do not exceed more than two word combinations. Therefore, if someone in any place without limit of distance, even if they are in another plane different from yours, pronounces that name, you hear it and instantaneously know the direction of, distance to, and name of the speaker. No concentration or action is required to gain this knowledge. If the speaker of your name is protected by some magical means such as a spell or an item, you can attempt to evade the protection with a successful opposed Spellcaster roll. Whoever is being listened to will not be aware that their protection has been evaded and that they are being listened to. You may choose a new name as a standard action once per year, but only one name can be designated at a time.
Normal: Without this feat you can only choose a specific name and listen to it within a radius of 10 miles per your arcane spellcaster level speaks that name.
