The Dwarven Speargun is a powerful weapon which was invented by the magically impaired Dwarves to combat the magic that they could not use or understand. It is a huge dwarven monstrosity designed so that small groups of dwarves could reliably down airborne dragons. Its other uses include siege warfare and mounting onto war animals. It is, in essence, a rope-less ballista which means it is much more mobile than its larger, more powerful and more cumbersome cousin. Unlike many of the Dwarven ranged weapons, they do not require any explosives and can even be fired underwater with no penalty. On land however, the Speargun requires a standard action to fire and takes 4 standard actions to reload. If the user has an assistant, they can shorten the reload time to one standard action. Rapid reload has no effect on the time required to reload this weapon.
