Dune titans are massive desert-dwelling creatures that resemble centipedes with long tentacles and a head that resembles a vile fusion of insect and humanoid, with long mandibles and compound eyes. Its dark brown carapace is not only incredibly tough, but it is also resistant to magic.
A dune titan is highly territorial, claiming a stretch of desert and fighting to the death to protect it. A dune titan likes to hoard things that catch its fancy, usually coins and metallic trinkets, though it might also keep a few bits of bone, carapace, or other indigestible material scavenged from prey.
A sweet-tasting substance can be procured from a dead or incapacitated dune titan, and it fetches a high price from cooks who use it as an ingredient in exotic dishes, while recovered pieces of its carapace are often taken as trophies by mighty desert warriors.
