Duality Of Essence (3.5e Feat)
From D&D Wiki
Duality of Essence [General]
You gain the ability to embody two opposing aspects of your soul, allowing for enhanced abilities and versatility in both life and death magic.
Prerequisite: At least 1 level in Devout Vessel, Devout Leader, or Vessel Magic
Benefit: You split your soul into two distinct entities, representing opposing alignments. One half embodies the exact opposite alignment of your character. If your alignment is evil, the other half becomes good, and vice versa. Each half retains control over its abilities, and you can switch between them freely. The good half gains 2 ranks in the Life division of Vessel Magic, while the evil half gains 2 ranks in the Death division. Both halves are considered one being, maintaining your identity as you can fully control both sides.
Normal: Without this feat, characters cannot split their soul into opposing halves and access abilities from both alignments.
Special: If you die, you remain a single being with two opposite halves of the same soul. You retain full control over both aspects of your essence, allowing you to continue utilizing the abilities granted by each side.
