Dragon Raised (5e Background)
Dragon Raised[edit]
You were raised by dragons. You have learned to persuade and intimidate from the best of the best. You've gained the trust of a dragon and all their connections. But how? Maybe a gold dragon took pity on you, living in a largely working class settlement. Maybe you impressed a red dragon by overthrowing a political leader, and bringing chaos to - and possibly ending a civilization. Maybe a deep dragon found you stranded in the underdark and worked you as a slave, or maybe you impressed them and they thought highly of you.
Skill Proficiencies: Persuasion, Intimidation
Tool Proficiencies: One type of gaming set
Languages: Draconic, or if you already know it choose another one of your choice.
Equipment: One type of gaming set, a set of fine clothes, a trinket (page 160 PHB) and a pouch containing 30 gp
Feature: Draconic Connections[edit]
Thanks to your dragon parent, you share any connections they may have had. If the dragon used a messenger, you know where to find them. This could be a follower of the dragon, such as a dragon blessed, chosen, or speaker, or maybe a kobold. If the dragon did not use a messenger, then you have to contact the connections yourself. They should be willing to help, depending on what you're asking for.
