Distraught Soul (5e Creature)
From D&D Wiki
Distraught Soul[edit]
Small undead, chaotic neutral Armor Class 11
Skills Deception +0, Intimidation +0, Investigation +0 Ethereal Sight. The soul can see 60 feet into the Ethereal Plane when it is on the Material Plane, and vice versa. Incorporeal Movement. The soul can move through other creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain. It takes 5 (1d10) force damage if it ends its turn inside an object. ACTIONSPainful Churning. The soul temporarily merges with a creature it can see within 5 feet of it that isn't a construct or undead. The target must succeed on a DC 10 Charisma saving throw or be paralyzed until the end of its next turn. If the target was unaware of the soul's presence, it has disadvantage on the saving throw. Invisibility. The soul magically turns invisible until it attacks or casts a spell, or until its concentration ends (as if concentrating on a spell). Any equipment the soul wears or carries is invisible with it. REACTIONSDisappearance. If the soul takes damage, it emits a flash of light in a 30-foot radius centered on itself. Each creature in that area must succeed on a DC 10 Constitution saving throw or be blinded for 1 minute. An affected creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. |
Distraught souls hang around because they're not sure where to go and are very easily influenced. They are difficult to locate without magic or a highly talented individual. Distraught souls can't cause any real physical harm but can move things around or make people feel a certain way if they want. |
