Discussion talk:When creating a character to what extents are the limits?
From D&D Wiki
Specificity[edit]
“ | If I wish the make myself an obnoxious brat with a really bad fake British accent, but happens to have very low intelligence points, would that be passing some kind of barrier? | ” |
That is perhaps the most specific question I have ever heard asked, considering character creation. --Badger 14:41, 5 December 2009 (MST)
- That's a joke question save for d20M.... At three one is intelligent... One cannot start with 3 Int... LEARN D&D. --Green Dragon 14:44, 5 December 2009 (MST)
- I was interpreting it as he has a low Intelligence score for a Player (maybe 4 or 6), and asking if this would prohibit him from role-playing a certain way. I can see how you would interpret it another way though. Furthermore, not to nitpick, but a Half-Orc can in fact start with an INT score of 3. The PHB explicitly mentions this. I resent the implication that I don't know D&D, unless that was directed at the person who posed the question in the first place, not me. Everyone was new once, there is a learning curve. Being as helpful as possible is the best way to foster community and encourage new players. --Badger 15:15, 5 December 2009 (MST)
