Discussion talk:What is the hp of, oooh, a mountain?

I believe the hit points of an object describe how much damage it will take before it is broken or dies. This makes sense when describing a monster or a mountain that has a structure and shape, but can we apply them a planet like earth is almost entirely molten? Striking lava with a sword is like mixing pudding, the lava really isn't changed. To destroy a planet one must use enough energy to pull it apart. As a rule of thumb mage hand puts out 125/4 joules of energy over the course of 6 seconds, but I would rather do the integral for the energy to pull apart a planet.
