Need some metals[edit]

Revan 20:51, 15 September 2009 (MDT)[edit]

ok get the creative juices flowing. you won't find most of this stuff in books so don't bother with them. I have the properties for mithral, cold iron, and adamantine. can anyone think up some other metals that would be useful in item creation? what would they do? how much would they cost? Weight? and what would you make out them?

Star metal is in complete Arcane. its like adamantine with outsiderbane. there are a few more in planar handbook, like blood iron and astral drift metal. there are a few more in the eberron setting. tryin to help, but failing...

Materia Type. Can store spells within. Every enchantment placed on the metal equals one spell that can be stored and casted spontaneously. The material itself costs the same as mythril. But prices can vary. Appearance is similar to tinted glass.

Iridium is a rare earth element member of the platnum fabmily, it has a silvery sheen. It is exceptional in that it is a very hard, britle metal, and that it is the second most dense metal weighing in at 22.56 g/cm3. For game rules, i would give it a hardness approaching(but not equaling) adamantine, and since it is so heavy, perhaps a +2 to damage, and a -2 to hit(net -1 with masterwork). If someone starts "improvising" weapons out of this, things can get out of hand very quickly though. a 6ft sphere of iridium does over 100d6 of damage, by the improvised damage rules in CW.

metals[edit]

I had a dm that used a metal he called urzium. only a handfull of ppl in the cosmos knew how to craft it. I'm not sure what it was made of. it could be crafted into anything, swords, armor, etc. was lighter than mithril and indestructible in such a way that made adamantiaum seem like gold in comparison. his uber-god couldn't sunder such a weapon. this metal could hold unlimited amounts of magic if crafted properly, if crafted improperly it would hold a set amount then explode. this stuff was awesome but has the capabilities of overbalancing a game in a hurry.

Hi! I came up with an idea a while back for a metal called Lunarite, which is liquid by day, and solid by night!
