I have someone in my group who is a druid and wants a animal companion. The only problem is I don't know how they work. Like do they go at the same time as him or do they have there own turn. Anyway I need help figuring this out thanks for the help.--Cheesecake (talk) 01:43, 26 July 2012 (MDT)

Hi Cheesecake, the rules for druid animal companions are here:SRD:Druid#The_Druid's Animal Companion. Specifically, getting your companion to do things in an encounter requires the Handle Animal skill. For example, the animal will need know the "Attack" trick, and the druid will need to make a Trained DC 20 Handle Animal check, for the animal to attack an enemy (and note that 2 tricks are required for it to attack undead and aberrations).
