I'm using the 4th edition of DnD. How do I calculate XP?

Each monster has an XP value in its stat block. When a monster is killed, the party divides that monster's XP between them.

I have a Quiz... isn't there any calculators where you just insert the amount of creatures with the creatures challenge rating and then the player levels. That would be much easier... most of the time me and my group spend time on the xp calculation as some of us are higher and some of us are lower levels.
Seriously... that would make the game a lot easier.

I think what he meant by his question was that if you dont see the XP value what do u do to calculate the creatures XP

It tells you in the Dungeon Master's Guide, in the chapter titled "Experience Points", page 120. NeoArden, 4e doesn't use challenge ratings. Marasmusine (talk) 04:53, 16 July 2012 (MDT)
