So, I'm working on this, User:Kydo/FA Update Project, but I'm kind of a bumbling boob who's learning SMW as he goes. (The dedicated wiki guide for it is a confusing, poorly maintained heap of garbage that references pages and headers that don't exist any more, variably switches between obsolete and modern terminology, has poorly explained and intrusive examples, etc. Pretty much exactly everything that I've come to expect from MediaWiki extension guides.)`The basic intended function, the new FA template, has been built and is functioning correctly, but it still doesn't show a preview image, which is less attractive than the old system. I wanted to improve functionality and ease of access without feature loss. Can anyone think of a way to make a preview image possible while still moving to a template based process involving editing only homebrew pages? We can't embed an image inside a property, and as far as I know, there is no way to attach a property to an image. I was originally trying to do it by transcluding the page and using onlyinclude to limit the transclusion to only the wanted material (like the image), but this still required the main page to be edited each time a new FA got voted in, and I couldn't find a way to transclude those commands from a template to the target page. So now I'm stumped. Ideas?
