Equip me Good Sirs and Madams![edit]

So here's the story, we are jumping into a campaign with a fairly wide variety of monster types at level 6. We are running a high powered campaign as there are only 3 party members. This we all have a house rule "epic" array of stats. Meaning we get 18,17,16,15,14,13. We are starting with standard money's for level 6, with the rule that no more then 50% of it can be spent on a single item.

As I cleric I will be taking the persist spell route, so I was wondering if anyone had any idea's for items? I know for sure that I will be taking an item from the magic item compendium that will give me +4 turning attempts, and from my undeath domain I get the extra turning feat for free. So I'll have lots of turning attempts. Hell suggest feats if you want. Do whatever! Help me build this cleric!

I have never made a caster before, and I don't want to gimp my party, usually I'm the mele!

Minor Recommendations:

  • +1 Ring of Protection, 2k. (+1 Deflection Bonus)
  • +1 Amulet of Natural Armor, 1k. (+1 Natural Armor)
  • +2 Cload of Resistance, 4k. (+2 All Saves)
  • +2 Ability Score Bonus Item, 4k. (+2 Score of Choice)

  • +1 armor (1k + mwk armor cost) (or use magic vestment)
  • +1 shield (1k + mwk shield cost)

and what jay said. Maybe leave the ring or stat Item off since you're bound to find 1 relatively soon since they're rather common loot. Ring of Prot +1 have been so abundant in every campaign I've been in we start leaving them on tree branches or wild animals to screw with people :P
