IN 3.5e, what kind of weapons and armor most Constructs can use?[edit]

In 3.5e, as i can see, Some constructs, like SRD:Construct Type, can use Weapons and Armor. But, what most of them, like Golems and Colosses, can use? They're roll on battlefield, most of the time, is to smash enemies with their huge fists; and while they can wield Simple weapons and Light Armor (anyone can do this), are they capable of using Martial weapons and Heavy Armor (since they are melee fighting specialists?)?
