Avenging Barbarian Clarification Needed!
Hi everyone,
I was reading the class and after going through the calculations needed for the class i was somehow baffled with a few things.
Ok lets assume a lvl 1 barbarian with 5 lvls Avenging Barbarian.
According to the Building Rage: "You automatically begin raging at 10 points per level" -> This gives us a starting 60 Rage Points.
According to the Pained Destruction: "he gains a bonus to Pain Points to automatically rage equal to ten times his constitution modifier" -> Assuming 3 CON modifier we get a bonus of 10*3= 30 Rage Points
Once the Barbarian Rages, he has (60+30) 90 Rage Points.
According to "Building Rage" and "Pained Destruction" because we are 5th level Avenging Barbarian we start at +5CON/+10STR for the first 10 Rage Points. I don't fully understand the "he needs (bonus^2) more pain points" completely, but i assume to receive and additional +5CON/+10STR he needs to reach 110 Rage Points? More simple put he gains an additional +5CON/+10STR for every 10^2 (=100) Rage Points. (+10CON/+20STR at 110RP, +15CON/+30STR at 210RP etc)
Question no1: Are the maths above correct? Am i missing something or misunderstood something?
Next confusing part is the "Pained Frenzy". While we are under the effect of Rage, we get 2 additional attacks Haste + Flurry of Blows (which apparently the FoB can be used with any weapon!). Not continuing to the next part of Pained Frenzy, shouldn't these 2 extra attacks happen only on full attack action? Besides this, the next part is the most ridiculous one which baffles me so much. "In addition, you can gain up to your Rage Points/10 attacks, though each extra attack places a stacking -2 to all attacks."
So we start with 90 Rage Points, which accumulates to 9 additional attacks?! Add on that the 2 normal attacks + Haste + Flurry of Blows gives us a total of a 13 attacks in 1 round?
Question no2: Is the multiple attacks correct? What am i missing here?
Would really appreciate some help/clarification here.
