Disassembly Drone (5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
Disassembly Drone[edit]
Physical Description[edit]
Disassembly Drones are physically similar to Worker Drones, having a white colouration with a black screen on the top half of their face, a black waist, and hands with four fingers. However, Disassembly Drones are half a head taller than them and have white arms with wider forearms that end with yellow and black stripes. On their head is a black headband with five yellow lights. In their mouth are a dark grey tongue and retractable fangs. All Disassembly Drones also sport a long black tail that ends in a large syringe, containing nanite acid.
Males have feet that end on yellow and black stripes, giving the appearance of soles/heels, while the females' shins are tapered to a point. Females also have curvy torsos and black markings on their legs, giving the appearance of stockings. The markings also come with yellow and black hazard stripes. Unlike Worker Drones, Disassembly Drones have hair regardless of their gender. Their hair is silver while their eyes are neon yellow, akin to that of Cyn's, and they wear black short-sleeved clothes and a yellow armband on their left upper arm.
History[edit]
The Disassembly Drones mysteriously arrived on Toril following a meteor shower.

Disassembly Drones Traits[edit]
Ability Score Increase. When determining your character’s ability scores, increase your Dexterity by 2 and increase a different score by 1. You can't raise any of your scores above 20.
Age. Disassembly Drones have shown no signs of deterioration due to age. You are immune to magical ageing effects.
Alignment. Most Disassembly Drones blindly follow the orders of their creator, JCJenson. Most people do not know who or what the mysterious JCJenson is, but they know they ordered the drones to kill. The Disassembly Drones tend towards instability. Thus, their alignment tends to be Chaotic.
Size. Disassembly Drones stand just under 5 feet tall and average 400-500 pounds. Your size is Medium.
Speed. Walking speed 35 ft.
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Acid Tail. As a bonus action, you can make a special attack with your Acid Tail dealing 1d4 + your strength or dexterity modifier acid damage. You can use this trait a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Flight. At level 3 you can grow a set of metal wings you can fly with. Because of your wings, you have a flying speed equal to your walking speed. You can’t use this flying speed if you’re wearing medium or heavy armour.
Interchangeable Hands. At level 5 you gain, the ability to integrate weapons into your arms. You may only integrate weapons with the light property. You may extend or retract the weapon the same as drawing or holstering a normal weapon.
Self-Repair. Starting at level 7 you can self-repair. When you roll a Hit Die to regain hit points, increase the number of hit points you regain by your proficiency bonus.
Overheat. Disassembly Drones suffer from an insufficient cooling system. When you suffer fire damage or start your turn in direct sunlight, accumulate 1 heat. While at 8 or more heat, you take 4 fire damage at the start of your turn. Starting at 12 heat, you lose consciousness until your heat is below 12. Starting your turn in shade reduces heat by 1. Exposure to water reduces your heat by 1. Exposure to cold reduces your heat by 2.
Blood Dependency. Blood powers the cooling system of a Disassembly Drone and a regular supply is needed to mitigate the risk of overheating. You need to drink 1 gallon of blood (the amount of blood in a small creature) every 5 days. Every 5 days without blood, the heat thresholds for overheating are reduced by 2 (to a minimum of 1).
Manufactured. You are a mechanical creature and have the following benefits:
- You have advantage on saving throws against being poisoned, and you have resistance to poison damage.
- You don’t need to eat or breathe.
- You are immune to disease.
- Magic can't put you to sleep.
Sleep Mode. When you take a long rest, you must spend at least six hours in an inactive, motionless state, rather than sleeping. In this state, you are unconscious and can only be awakened prematurely by physical action.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Binary.
