Dire Chicken

Dire Chicken Tactics[edit]

Dire Chickens employ hit-and-run tactics. They surprise unsuspecting PCs by hiding behind corners, pecking their foes once or twice and then running away to hide again.

Dire Chickens feed primarily on plants, insects and rodents. If a Plant or Swarm type enemy is present, a flock of Dire Chickens will focus on that foe first, surrounding the opponent for a feeding frenzy.

Dire Chicken Lore[edit]

A character knows the following information with a successful Nature check.

DC 10: These chickens have been genetically mutated. They harm plants and animals by pecking.

Encounter Groups[edit]

Dire Chickens usually are in groups of 5-7 chickens.
