Diamondskins Variant[edit]
You are from a tribe of humans who somehow lived in the elemental plane of earth thousands of years ago causing them to have the ability to turn their skin into diamond to survive the harsh environment of the plane. Now a large number of them escaped the elemental plane of earth and are now a nomadic tribe that roams the material plane. They are known for being able to turn their skin and hair into diamonds at will which is why they are named the Diamondskins.
This race variant replaces the ability score increase of the official base human. You gain the following traits instead.
Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 2, and your Strength score increases by 1.
Diamond Skin. Your connection to the elemental plane of earth has given you the ability to turn your body into a diamond. Using your action you can turn your body diamond while in the form and you are unarmored you ac becomes 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution score and your weight and carrying capacity triples. Also in this your unarmed attacks become 1d12-3 bludgeoning damage and you get resistance to bludgeoning, cold, fire, piercing, and slashing damage types. This transformation can last up to 24 hours or until dispelled, and can be used 2 times per long rest.
