Desvon (3.5e Race)

Desvonian aren't just born, even though they can be. But they are some times born from when a star[Sun] is explodes. When a star explodes, a god that is of the evil alignment, will debate on bringing a person into the world and with that, the Desvonian will become that god's child, so to speak. This does not mean that that character will become that god's favorite, but merely will call them mother or father. But, because of this, this makes the natural Desvonians rather rare to come by. Upon birth, they aren't able to shift into their human forms until they reach the age of seventeen, after this, they can change into the human form, but it must take some pushing because it wouldn't feel right to them.
The Desvonians are rather silent and wouldn't generally care about anyone unless they come across someone who is in tune with their chosen elemental familiarity. They seem to attach themselves to their elemental choice and never let go, always eager to help them even when declined. If declined, they go ahead and try to do something that would benefit the person [ Chosen element] and themselves. They are extremely greedy and territorial of a chosen area. If a person walks into their terriotory, they will protect it with all that they have, which leads to them fighting. Other than that, they tend to stay to themselves and generally takes what they can and continue forward. They, themselves, do not like being helped in any sort of way. Though, they will become extremely happy and hyper after they are done killing, this only lasts a day. They tend to lean towards the more psychotic persons as well, but show no difference in personality.
The males stand to be seven feet or more tall with dark gray or black skin, muscular build, a pair of horns on the side of their head that curls. The Females stand four foot to five foot six inches tall with a slender/hourglass body structure. The male's horns curve slightly from the side of their head, and their skin is a white or light gray. Both genders eyes are two different color; meaning one eye color is different from the other, what is usually white for the whites of the eyes is black. The hair style, color, and length can be any color as well as well as the eyes can be any color, however at least one eye color is usually based off of their familiar element. They both have tails, the males being shorter than the females and the females have small wings. Their horns do have stripes along them similar to a striped stocking with the primary color stripe being white. Their skins may seem like any other skin, with it being soft to the touch, but it has a natural hardness that can go undetected.
If they decide to go into their human form [ It takes five strain per transformation.], the black of their eyes turn white and their eye colors are changed to brown, blue, or green [ Choose color and that will be the human form's permanent eye color. ]. The hair is either brown, red, black, or blond [Again, choose one and it's permanent for the human form's character. ] For the males, their skin color becomes a dark tan color and for the females, their skin is medium tan. The male is shorter in height to fit in with the humans and the females are taller depending on what height they choose. In this form, their true aura[alignment] can be hidden [ 1/month. ]
Desvonians tend to stay to themselves when in a group unless there is an elemental type of person within it. [ e.g. Flare Knight, Frost Knight, Elementalist. Or any race dealing with an element. ] They are territorial and very greedy. They do enjoy killing in any form.
Anything that is Evil. Though, some can become Chaotic Neutral, it's not unheard of.
This depends on what the Desvon's choice of primary element is. If it's ice, they love colder places. If fire, they love warmer places. If water, they love being around water. But that is only a few to choose from, there are currently more.
Seeing as how the Desvonians can be anything in the evil alignment, any good within this alignment will be able to be worshiped by the Desvon. This is not considering the ones that are chaotic neutral.
Common, Abyssal, and Draconic.
Human names will work
Males: Eirisua, Drusic, Tossnu, or Resolavonic. (Example names.)
Females: Resinii, Xavisie, or Zadders. (Example names)
- +2 Charisma, +3 Intelligence, -2 Strength, -1 Wisdom,
- Racial bonus of +4 to rolls for Spellcasting and Bluff checks, and +1 to rolls for Spot checks
- Darkvision out to 60 feet
- +3 Natural Armor bonus to AC
- Desvon base land speed is 30 feet
- Immortality: Cannot die of old age, and does not display signs of physical aging past adulthood
- Elemental Familiarity: Based on which element the character selects, the Desvon will be immune to any source of damage carrying that elemental trait
- Automatic Languages: Common, Abyssal, and Draconic Bonus Languages: Any, not including Druidic.
