Evil Incarnate[edit]
At 1st level, you know the Primal Savagery cantrip and can cast it a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per short rest. Also at 1st level, while not wearing armor your AC equals 10 + your Dexterity modifier + your Constitution modifier.
Pact Magic[edit]
By 2nd level, you have learned to draw on eldritch powers through séances and rituals to cast spells.
- Preparing and Casting Spells
The Demonic Vassal table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your spells. To cast one of your demonic vassal spells of 1st level or higher, you must expend a slot of the spell’s level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.
You prepare the list of demonic vassal spells that are available for you to cast, choosing from the demonic vassal spell list. When you do so, choose a number of demonic vassal spells equal to your Charisma modifier + half your demonic vassal level, rounded down (minimum of one spell). The spells must be of a level for which you have spell slots.
You can change your list of prepared spells when you finish a long rest. Preparing a new list of demonic vassal spells requires time spent in séances and rituals: at least 1 minute per spell level for each spell on your list.
- Spellcasting Ability
Charisma is your spellcasting ability for your demonic vassal spells. You use your Charisma whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Charisma modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a demonic vassal spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.
- Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier
- Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier
- Spellcasting Focus
You can use an idol or amulet as a spellcasting focus for your demonic vassal spells.
Demonic Suzerain[edit]
When you reach 3rd level, your Demonic Suzerain makes themselves known to you and you swear allegiance to them, binding you to them forever. Up to this time you have been in a preparatory stage, committed to the path but not yet sworn to it. Choose between Demogorgon, Orcus, and Baphomet all detailed at the end of the class description. Your choice grants you features at 3rd level and again at 7th, 14th, and 18th level. Those features include Demonic Vassal spells and the features that rely on your choice of Suzerain.
- Suzerain Spells
Each different suzerain has a list of associated spells. You gain access to these spells at the levels specified in the suzerain's description. Once you gain access to a suzerain spell, you always have it prepared. Suzerain spells don't count against the number of spells you can prepare each day.
If you gain an suzerain spell that doesn't appear on the Demonic Vassal spell list, the spell is nonetheless a Demonic Vassal spell for you.
Chaos Manifest[edit]
Also at 3rd level, your Suzerain manifests their power through you, temporarily altering your form in their image. Your appearance and abilities are determined by your Suzerain that you choose at this level: Demogorgon, Orcus or Baphomet.
When your hit points are equal to or less than 2/3 of their total you transform.
You can remains transformed a number of turns equal to your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier, you gain one extra turn every time you take damage. If your hit points reach 0, you return to your original form.
Ability Score Improvement[edit]
When you reach 4th level, and again at 8th, 12th, 16th and 19th level, you can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or you can increase two ability scores of your choice by 1. As normal, you can't increase an ability score above 20 using this feature.
Extra Attack[edit]
Beginning at 5th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the attack action on your turn.
Demogorgon[edit]
The third Prince of Demons, he is a monstrous demon with a humanoid, scaly body, two mandrill-like heads, tentacles in place of arms, clawed feet, and a tail.
