Physical Description[edit]
With the appearance of a human the only difference between humans and Demi-Beast are the ears and an extra part, a tail. There are several different subraces, some of the most notable subraces being, Cat-Blood, Fox-Blood, Wolf-Blood, Bird-Blood and the rarer of the lot with a name the Dragon-Blood
History[edit]
The Demi-Beasts came into existence eons ago, they where one of the great creations of the a great artificer. Years ago the Demi-Beasts where almost exterminated by an artificer. The ones that survived where sold into slavery but where all freed by the last wielder of a weapon known as Yigdrasil. Now in the modern era their homeland is threatened to be destroyed by an empire
Society[edit]
The Demi-Beasts are very proud and noble fighters using their animal instincts to have a advantage when fighting, the are often very peaceful but if they are provoked they will not stop until the fight is won or they are almost wiped out. Ancient Demi-Beast legends say that one day a hero will arise from among them and stop a great evil from their world, only one question about this legend remains, Who is the one fabled to come?
Demi-Beast Names[edit]
Demi-Beast names usually come from three different real world languages; German, Greek and Norse
Male: Held, Vargr, Fuchs, Drakon, Himmel, Ilios, Freund
Female: Iroas, Kat, Gata, Wolfin, Lopt, Sonne, File
Family Names: Soldat, Katze, Lykos, Alepou, Mel-rakki, Drachen, Ouranos, Vinr
Demi-Beast Traits[edit]
The Animal features of a Demi-Beast allows them to have the advantages on an animal
Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 2 but you can't increase an ability score above 20 using this feature, your Dexterity score increases by 1.
Age. Demi-Beasts reach full maturity at age 18 and normally go on to the age of 90 before death
Alignment. Demi-Beasts have a natural alignment to neutral
Size. Demi-Beast size and build can vary depending on what type of Demi-Beast they are, they are Medium
Speed. Your base walking speed is 45 feet.
Dexterity Check Advantage. As a trait Demi-Beasts have advantage on all Dexterity Checks
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice.
Subrace. There are several sub races for the Demi-Beast and you HAVE TO choose one subrace
Cat-Blood[edit]
The Cat-Blood are the most well known of the Demi-Beasts, they share most of their traits with a cat
Heightened Senses. Cat-Bloods have a natural passive perception of 20
Claws. Instead of normal damage Unarmed Strike does 2d4 + Strength modifier of slashing damage
Darkvision. A Cat-Blood can see up to 70 feet in dim or very dark environments
Wolf-Blood[edit]
The second most notable of the Demi-Beasts and the proud is the Wolf-Blood
Bite. As a Wolf-Blood you have an attack that allows you to bite down on a target dealing 1d8 of piercing damage, the range of this attack in five feet.
Wolven Strength. if you choose you can instead replace one of the normal Race Ability Score Improvements by increasesing your Strength score by 2 or 1 depending on which score you choose to replace
Fox-Blood[edit]
The smallest of the Demi-Beasts and normally ends up being a thief
Thief's Foxtail. A Fox-Born has advantage on Stealth and Slight of Hand
Lightfoot. Because the Fox-Blood is small you'd be lighter giving others disadvantage on Perception Checks against you
Bird-Blood[edit]
The Subrace of the Demi-Beast that specialises in flight, instead of having the ears of a bird they have the wings of one instead
Flight. Because you have wings you have 15 feet of flight
Burdening Gift. All Bird-Blood Demi-Beasts have disadvantage when using melee weapons and cannot use ranged weapons
Bear-Blood[edit]
The largest of the Demi-Beasts and have the ears and tails of a bear with sharp teeth.
Bear Tracks. A Bear-blood has advantage on Survival or Nature.
Bear Strength. Because of a Bear-blood's size and strength, it counts as large for carrying capacity and if you choose you can instead replace one of the normal Race Ability Score Improvements by increasing your Strength score by 2 or 1 depending on which score you choose to replace
