Demi-Beast[edit]

Physical Description[edit]

With the appearance of a human the only difference between humans and Demi-Beast are the ears and an extra part, a tail. There are several different subraces, some of the most notable subraces being, Cat-Blood, Fox-Blood, Wolf-Blood, Bird-Blood.

History[edit]

The Demi-Beasts came into existence eons ago, they where one of the great creations of the a great artificer. Years ago the Demi-Beasts where almost exterminated by an artificer. The ones that survived where sold into slavery but where all freed by the last wielder of a weapon known as Yigdrasil. Now in the modern era their homeland is threatened to be destroyed by an empire

Society[edit]

The Demi-Beasts are very proud and noble fighters using their animal instincts to have a advantage when fighting, the are often very peaceful but if they are provoked they will not stop until the fight is won or they are almost wiped out. Ancient Demi-Beast legends say that one day a hero will arise from among them and stop a great evil from their world, only one question about this legend remains, Who is the one fabled to come?

Demi-Beast Names[edit]

Demi-Beast names usually come from three different real world languages; German, Greek and Norse

Male: Held, Vargr, Fuchs, Drakon, Himmel, Ilios, Freund

Female: Iroas, Kat, Gata, Wolfin, Lopt, Sonne, File

Family Names: Soldat, Katze, Lykos, Alepou, Mel-rakki, Drachen, Ouranos, Vinr

Demi-Beast Traits[edit]

The Animal features of a Demi-Beast allows them to have the advantages on an animal
Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 2, and your Dexterity score or Wisdom score increases by 1.
Age. Demi-Beasts reach full maturity at age 18 and normally go on to the age of 90 before death
Alignment. Demi-Beasts are usually True neutral, as they are often influenced by the values of their societies.
Size. Demi-Beast size and build can vary depending on what type of Demi-Beast they are, they are Medium
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Primal Drive. When you make a Strength, Dexterity or Constitution ability check or saving throw, you can gain advantage on the roll. You can do so a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and regain all uses of this trait when you finish a long rest.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and two other language of your choice.
Subrace. There are a myriad of subraces amongst demi-beasts, each with its own perks. These subraces are found below.

Cat-Blood[edit]

The Cat-Blood are the most well known of the Demi-Beasts, they share most of their traits with a cat

Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Keen Senses. Due to their bloodline they have a inherent abilities to See, Smell and Hear over a great distance allowing them to have advantage on Perception checks that rely on senses.
Lightfoot. Your walking speed is increased by 5ft.
Elusive. You can take the dash, dodge and disengage action as a bonus action.

Wolf-Blood[edit]

The second most notable of the Demi-Beasts and the proud is the Wolf-Blood

Pack tactics. The first time you attack a creature while an allied creature is within 5ft of it, you gain advantage on the attack, provided the allied creature is not incapacitated.
Wolven strength. When you strike a creature with a melee attack, you can attempt to shove them with a bonus action.
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Keen Senses. Due to their bloodline they have a inherent abilities to See, Smell and Hear over a great distance allowing them to be skill trackers +1 Perception

Fox-Blood[edit]

The smallest of the Demi-Beasts and normally ends up being a thief

Lightfoot. Your walking speed is increased by 5ft.
Elusive. You can take the dash, dodge and disengage action as a bonus action.
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Keen Senses. Due to their bloodline they have a inherent abilities to See, Smell and Hear over a great distance allowing them to be skill trackers, you gain expertise in perception skill.

Bird-Blood[edit]

The Subrace of the Demi-Beast that specialises in flight, instead of having the ears of a bird they have the wings of one instead

Flight. You have wings that grant you flying speed of 30 feet. You cannot fly if you are wearing medium or heavy armor, and both clothes and light armor must be tailored to allow for your wings.
Flyby. If you leave a creature's reach while flying or taking flight, you don't provoke opportunity attacks.

Dragon-Blood[edit]

There are only four houses of Dragon-Bloods left. The Dragon-Bloods have three main features; Horns, Wings and the Tail

Sharp claws. You have a set of claws for natural weapons. Your unarmed strikes deal d6 + strength slashing damage. If your unarmed strikes already deal more damage than your natural weapons, you may instead just change the damage type from bludgeoning to slashing and vice-versa.
Hard scales. You have hardened scales to protect you. Your unarmored AC is equal to 12 + your constitution modifier. In addition, your hit point maximum is increased by 1, and then by an additional 1 whenever you gain a level.
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Keen Senses. Due to their bloodline they have a inherent abilities to See, Smell and Hear over a great distance allowing them to be skill trackers +1 Perception
