History[edit]
“ | And to all the Malevolent Gods, Demer dealt death. He did this to all of them until the last he could not defeat. He instead trapped him in the underdark, never to escape again, although to achieve this he had to confine himself within Leuadinas. | ” |
—The Gospels of Syndesimos |
There were once many clans of elves upon the land, praying each to bickering Gods that ran their own domains greedily, hoarding the power. This fragile system went on until a war involving all gods broke out. The Gods, too occupied by the war, could not manage their respective domains anymore. This lead to the forces of the universe being completely unbalanced. Forests grew and disappeared overnight. Men became insanely powerful and perfectly healthy people simply died for no apparent reasons. Through this, only a single elvish clan remained righteous. Together, they gave up their immortality and made their King a powerful God. And to all the Malevolent Gods, Demer dealt death. He did this to all of them until the last he could not defeat. He instead trapped him in the underdark, never to escape again, although to achieve this he had to confine himself within Leuadinas. In his fortress, he wrote the laws by witch our world operates today, and then sentenced the other gods into temporary exile. This, he did in a single day.
