Dwarf Subrace[edit]

Hill and mountain dwarves are the most common dwarves you'll see anywhere. However, there is one type of dwarf that is rarely found by surface dwellers: deep dwarves. Born and raised underground where rarely anyone checks, deep dwarves are cunning and probably the most intimidating of the three dwarven subraces.

Physical Description[edit]

Deep dwarves have ashen skin and always have their trademark racial symbol running across their head. Most deep dwarves tend to show little to no skin at all, but the friendlier ones do show their entire faces to the world. If you see their entire face, they look like a normal dwarf, but less hair and beard and more of an "Apocalyptic" look.

History[edit]

Deep dwarves have been around since dwarves were created. They used to travel the surface like all other dwarves, but as more races appeared on the scene, they started to trust the hill and mountain dwarves more than the deep dwarves. So they were send underground, far below the surface, where they could never be seen by human-kind and never see the light of day again. Little did the deep dwarves know that they would soon find a rival race, which would also be their best friends. It wasn't long until the deep dwarves encountered the deep gnomes. The two races fought over land for a long time, until they soon figured out they had a lot in common and they became allying races. Some clans of both races even decided to fuse their lands. Now the deep gnomes and deep dwarves live in peace as allies.

Society[edit]

Deep dwarves, like deep gnomes, live in caves far below the surface, surrounded by gemstones. They like to remain hidden, but if someone tries to take their gemstones, the deep dwarves will come out and attack in formations. They can travel far from their caves, but never do go too far. However some deep dwarves have made it to the surface. Some come back to tell their tales, while others die and are never seen again.
