Each creature of the drake's choice that is within 120 feet of the drake and aware of it must succeed on a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to the drake's Frightful Presence for the next 24 hours. Steam Breath (Recharge 5-6). The drake exhales steam in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw, taking 44 (8d10) fire damage on a failed save or half as much damage on a successful one. Being underwater doesn't grant resistance against this damage.

The DeepWave drake is a powerful creature within the waters of DeepWave, but on the surface, it is one of the weakest dragons on the planet. DeepWave is their habitat, and this is where they are their strongest, with swimming speeds only beaten by the golden dart and powerful jaws with sharp claws and an incredibly hot breath weapon. They are incapable of breathing fire, but the power behind the attack as well as the temperature is enough to drive even the hardiest creatures away. |
