Death Dancer[edit]

Wizard Subclass

Some not only study arcane arts, but also martial traditions. There are those wizard who included hand to hand combat in their extensive sessions of magic studies. This tradition is exclusive to those with special abilities, as it is not easy to focus on spells and fighting in the battlefield. These wizards sees death as a beginning and embraces it while going into battle.

Blade Master

When you adopt this tradition at 2nd level you gain proficiency with one type of one-handed melee weapon of your choice, the Duelist or Two-Weapon fighting style from the fighter class and your Hit Points increase by 2 for every level you take in this class. You also gain proficiency in one of the skills of your choice.

Death Dance

Starting at 2nd level, you can enter a frenzied state which grants you with increased mobility and lethality. It doesn't change your appearance, but if it suits your background it might have a different name and visual change.

You can use a bonus action to start the death dance, which lasts for 1 minute. It ends early if you are incapacitated, if you don medium or heavy armor or a shield, or if you use two hands to make an attack with a weapon. You can also dismiss the Death Dance at any time you choose (no action required).

While you are in the dancing state, you gain the following benefits: Your AC increases by an amount equal to your intelligence modifier. You gain a bonus to any Constitution saving throw you make to maintain your concentration on a spell. The bonus equals your Intelligence modifier (minimum of +1). In You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.

Extra Attack

Beginning at 6th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. Moreover, you can cast one of your cantrips in place of one of those attacks.

Shadow Blade

Beginning at 10th level, a deadly black aura covers your weapon and sharpens it. Whenever you hit with a weapon attack using a weapon you are proficient with and you are in dancing state, you add one extra die of damage of the same type the weapon has.

Reaper's Dance

Starting at 14th level, you add your Intelligence modifier (minimum of +1) to the damage of your melee weapon attacks while you are in dancing state.
