Dawnwarden[edit]

Fighter Subclass

In the breaking light of dawn, where hope outshines the shadow, the Dawnwarden stands as a guardian of light and life. Drawing power from the first rays of the sun, these noble warriors embody the resilience and renewal that dawn represents. Clad in armor that gleams like the morning light and wielding weapons that carve paths of radiance through darkness, Dawnwardens are beacons of hope on any battlefield.

Solar Aegis

Starting at 3rd level, as a Dawnwarden, you learn to harness the protective energies of the dawn, wrapping yourself and your allies in a comforting light that shields against harm.

  • Illuminated Defense : As a bonus action, you can invoke the light of the dawn to grant one creature you can see within 30 feet of you (including yourself) a shimmering aura of protective light. This aura increases the target's Armor Class by 1 for 1 minute. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
  • Radiant Resilience : Additionally, the first time you use Illuminated Defense on a creature during a long rest, that creature gains temporary hit points equal to your fighter level + your Wisdom modifier. This represents the nurturing warmth of the sun bolstering your allies against the trials ahead.
Dawn's Embrace

At 3rd level, your connection to the dawn allows you to harness the sun's light to rejuvenate and rally your allies. Your presence becomes a source of inspiration, symbolizing the new beginnings and hope that each morning brings.

  • Healing Light : Whenever you use the Second Wind feature on yourself, one ally you can see within 30 feet of you also gains the benefit of your Second Wind. This does not expend the ally's use of Second Wind if they have it. The healing represents a burst of dawn's light, refreshing and invigorating your chosen ally alongside you.
  • Beacon of Hope : Additionally, whenever you successfully stabilize a creature with a Wisdom (Medicine) check or heal a creature with any ability, you and the creature both receive a bonus equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1) to your next attack roll, saving throw, or skill check. This bonus must be used within the next minute.
Morning's Vigilance

By 7th level, your attunement to the dawn has sharpened your senses and heightened your awareness, allowing you to act swiftly in defense of those under your charge. Your vigilance becomes as relentless as the rising sun, piercing through deception and darkness to protect your allies.

  • Luminous Alertness : You gain proficiency in the Perception skill. If you are already proficient, you can add double your proficiency bonus to checks made with it.
  • Guardian Light : Whenever you or an ally within 30 feet of you is targeted by an attack, you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on the attack roll. You must be able to see the attacker and the target to use this feature. After using this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Lightforged Arsenal

By the time they reach 10th level, Dawnwardens have learned to imbue their weapons with the radiant energy of the sun, making their attacks a bane to darkness and a beacon of hope to allies.

  • Sunstrike Weapons: As a bonus action, you can infuse one weapon you are holding with radiant energy for 1 minute. For the duration, your weapon attacks with that weapon deal an extra 1d6 radiant damage. This damage increases to 1d8 at 15th level. Additionally, any attack made with this weapon sheds bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet.
  • Radiant Rebuke: Once per turn, when you hit a creature with a weapon attack using your sunstrike weapon, you can force the target to make a Constitution saving throw (the DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier). On a failed save, the target is blinded until the end of its next turn, representing the overwhelming brilliance of your attack.
Beacon of the Morning

Reaching level 15, Dawnwardens become luminous beacons of hope and strength on the battlefield, their presence alone enough to turn the tide of battle. Their mastery over the dawn's light reaches new heights, allowing them to shield and empower their allies more effectively.

  • Everlasting Dawn : You emanate a constant, soothing light in a 20-foot radius around you. Allies within this light have advantage on saving throws against being frightened or charmed.
  • Sunrise Resurgence : When an ally within the light falls to 0 hit points but isn't killed outright, they can choose to drop to 1 hit point instead. This miraculous resurgence can only be used by each ally once per long rest.
Dawnbringer's Radiance

At 18th level, the Dawnwarden becomes a beacon of pure, celestial light, radiating the power and majesty of the dawn in every aspect of their being. They embody the very essence of sunrise, bringing forth the dawn's radiance to illuminate the darkest of times and banish all shadows from the battlefield.

  • Solar Ascendance : As an action, you can unleash a burst of radiant energy in a 60-foot radius centered on yourself. All allies within this area regain hit points equal to 10 + your fighter level. Additionally, any undead or fiends within the area must make a Constitution saving throw against a DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier. On a failed save, they take radiant damage equal to 10 + your fighter level and are blinded until the end of your next turn. This feature can be used once, and you regain the ability to do so after finishing a long rest.
  • Eternal Sunlight : The radius of your Everlasting Dawn feature increases to 30 feet, and the light it emits is treated as sunlight for the purpose of effects that are sensitive to or harmed by sunlight. In addition, your allies within the light gain temporary hit points equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1) at the start of each of their turns.
