This appears to be a hand crossbow with out the crossbow arms. On closer inspection, you see there is still a trigger and when pressed a dart shoots out the end, there is a lever used to reset the spring mechanism.

This weapon when fired is a dart. The dart deals 1d4 dmg as normal and is treated as ammunition for the gun and for magical purposes. It is a move action to reload and if you have the Quick Draw feat, reloading is a swift action. You can shoot, but not reload, a Dart Gun with one hand at no penalty. You can shoot a Dart Gun with each hand incuring the normal TWF penalties, treat as if using two light weapons. It grants a +2 Sleight of Hand checks made to conceal the weapon on account that it looks like a broken hand crossbow.

The gun can be upgraded in several ways:

  • Upgrade 1: Increases range by 10 ft (total 30 ft) Cost: 50gp
  • Upgrade 2: Increases the power of the dart, dealing +1 dmg (total 1d4+1) Cost: 100gp (upgrade 1 must be added before this one)
  • Upgrade 3: By adding a scope to the gun, you get a +2 Attack bonus when using a full-round action by looking down the scope, but you suffer a -1 AC penalty because you are focused in looking into the scope. Cost: 25gp (can be added at anytime)
