Daggerfish are bright red and green carnivorous tropical fish that hunt prey with their long, dagger-like horns, using them to stab and slash. They usually hunt small fish, but they can at times attack more substantial prey that stumbles into their waters. They are solitary for most of their lives, coming together only once a year to breed. |
