Critical Lancer[edit]

Fighter Subclass

Warriors who follow the path of the Spear of the Relentless Fate are masters of executing critical strikes. Their technique is a combination of extreme precision and an innate knowledge of enemy weak points. With each level they reach, their ability to deliver devastating blows increases, making them the nightmare of any adversary.

Master of Critical Strikes

At level 3, you begin to develop a supernatural ability to land critical strikes. Your critical hit range expands as follows for spear:

Level 3: a critical hit occurs on a roll of 19-20.

Level 7: a critical hit occurs on a roll of 18-20.

Level 10: a critical hit occurs on a roll of 17-20.

Level 15: a critical hit occurs on a roll of 16-20.

Level 18: a critical hit occurs on a roll of 15-20.

And you cannot be disarmed.

Devastating Impact

At level 7, your ability to capitalize on critical strikes becomes lethal.

When you score a critical hit for spear, you can use your reaction to double the total damage of your attack.

If you land a critical hit with a spear, you can move 10 feet without provoking opportunity attacks.

Inevitable Strike

At level 10, you have reached a level of precision that transcends human limits for you spear.

Once per short or long rest, you can declare that your next attack will be an automatic critical hit.

Additionally, each successful critical hit you land in your turn multiplies the total damage of all your attacks that turn by the number of critical hits achieved.

Supreme Critical

At level 15, your critical hits become absolute and lethal.

When you land a critical hit, instead of rolling the damage dice, you deal the maximum possible damage. Example: if you use a spear that deals 1d10, a critical hit will now deal 20 base damage without rolling.

You cannot be surprised under any circumstances.

If you have advantage with your spear, instead of rolling two dice, you roll three and choose the highest result (triple advantage).

Avatar of Death

At level 18, your mastery of combat has reached an almost divine level.

Your critical hit range is now 15-20.

If you score a critical hit against an enemy, you can make an additional attack as part of the same attack action.

If you land three critical hits in a single turn, you can take an additional action immediately.

If you reduce an enemy to 0 hit points with a critical hit, you can make an additional attack against another enemy within your reach.

Each time you land a critical hit, the target gains one level of exhaustion, up to a maximum of 4 levels.

You can now use the "Inevitable Strike" ability more than once per rest, but you must wait at least one round before using it again.
