Crimson Elf (5e Subrace)
Elf Subrace[edit]
A devilish race devout to serving the King of Hell, their ruler, and maker, Asmodeus.
It is said that Asmodeus created them to the image of his late Queen Bensozia and daughter, Glasya. They are cruel, haughty, tormented creatures that hate themselves just as much as they hate everyone and everything else. Crimson Elves tend to follow the same leadership code as devils; the strongest rule, and the weaker serve or die. With that mentality, they are fiercely loyal to a deserving military leader, as long as they have proven their worth and are capable of keeping them in line. If a Crimson Elf feels any doubt about their leader's capabilities, it will not hesitate in trying to overthrow them.
Humans perceive the Crimson Elves just as they do with Tieflings; Mistrust, fear, and violence. Elves see them as unworthy of the fey name and believe they are cursed beings fit only to serve as meat-shields on the front lines. Crimson Elves enjoy and feed these prejudiced views with sinful joys.
Crimson Elves have elven features; beautiful traits, silky hair, pointy ears...but eerily twisted. They have a pale, chalky white skin in front, with a bright, blood red back. Some wear bright red paint on their snowy face. They have multiple horns and nubs all over their spine and extremities. Their hair is mostly pure white, but black and red exist in small numbers. The mane usually cascades between horns and thorns on the forehead and falls low, down their back. Rogue Crimson elves tend to chop their hair just under their chin as a practicality. Their eyes have no visible sclera and are either a glowing white or a stormy black. They possess usually inoffensive short claws and sharp teeth that they use to better tear at their prey. A long, red and sinuous barbed tail fling constantly behind them.
Crimson Elves are to the Nine Hells and Asmodeus what the Drow are, with Lolth, to the Abyss.
